I need new lawn furniture and if you are reading this, I suppose you need it too. I was looking around to find some answers to help me decide what to choose. First it is important to know what your needs and requirements are.

* Comfort – this is essential. Afternoon sitting in your garden has to be relaxing. It has to give you a sense of comfort and allow you to renew energy for the next working week.

* Practical – very important. It is annoying if you have to struggle with your lawn furniture when you want to move it a few inches. It has to be as light as possible, because besides using it, its purpose is to move it around and even put it inside when the whether is awful. Cleaning and maintaining it, are issues you have to consider too.

* Price – also important. I did not mention this earlier, but you have to look in your wallet too. You have to decide how much money you intend to spend on it.

* Design – mentioned at the end, but crucial. It can be the most comfortable and practical piece, but if you do not enjoy your lawn furniture, the experience will be less pleasant. It has to fit into its surrounding, so it does not destroy the harmony in your garden that you have created year after year.

So, what are your possibilities? There are three main types of materials that you can choose from.

* Wood – natural and gives a sense of warmth. This is a good choice for several reasons. It is natural and does not violate the first impression of your eco garden. It is practical and there are some pieces that can be assemble when you want to shelter them. It is easy to clean and maintain.

* Metal – solid and durable. One thing is for sure you would not need to buy new lawn furniture for a long time. It is not comfortable, but you can put on some cushions on it. One thing that gives priority to this material is that it is solid and heavy, especially if the material is iron. If you have little children they cannot push it, or be in danger of falling with it and hurting themselves.

* Plastic – light and easy to maintain. One of the major characteristics of plastic lawn furniture is the low price. It can also be wicker furniture.
